The world’s most famous Hyvinkää man
Relationship. Big Brother winner Sauli Koskinen thought he knew what it felt to be a celebrity. But, dating a world famous superstar caused a sensation that was almost too much for this socialite veteran.
The winner of 2007 reality tv Big Brother and entertainment celebrity Sauli Koskinen isn’t the easiest man to get hold of anymore. The old phone number is closed and a friend says the new number is ”super secret”.
The word super does seem to fit Koskinen, who’s been the most talked about entertainment phenomenon this year after he hooked up with American superstar, the 2009 American Idol second place finisher, singer Adam Lambert. The romance that spurred from a Helsinki nightclub hauled Sauli in an instance from the capital’s entertainment circles into the big world’s paparazzi images. From Paris to Los Angeles and the paradise island of Bora Bora.
Simultaneously Sauli made it to the list of most searched people in the global Google searches.
Next Sauli did something surprising – didn’t comment anything and disappeared to his home area to work in his father’s remodeling company.
Surprising, as just about any other reality tv celeb would have milked it for all it’s worth and baked in the domestic media any time he could. But, not Sauli.
Maybe his decision tells us something about his character. He is just about the only reality tv celebrity that has an almost entirely positive public image.
When I finally reach Sauli, he agrees to tell something this one time only, and only because of his future work.
Though I did have some celebrity status after the BB win, this has been completely different. I have not accepted any invitations to talk shows, as it feels wrong to play this attention to my own advantage. I haven’t done anything special, says Sauli.
There have been made up stories a plenty already, even without him saying a thing: it’s been told he’s found happiness and even his parent have been contacted.
It feels funny that they’re writing about me finding happiness now. Certainly I was a happy person before. It is true that I must be happier now, and yes, this is great. It’s also funny to be asked how I’m doing. Think you'll see it all from the photos, he refers to the romantic holiday photos.
Soon Sauli is off to the US again – now to work, doing a Road Show type online video diary with his friend Katri Utula. So, which was first, Adam of the work in the US?
This trip has been planned ages ago, so it has absolutely nothing to do with the relationship. Hope people like what we’re doing. And when it comes to celebrity, when I’ve done something remarkable,I promise to take part in every possible tv show and interview, laughs Sauli.
