November 28, 2012 - Broken English a personal favorite

ADAM TALKS ABOUT SAULI AND BROKEN ENGLISH WITH SOUTH AFRICAN PAPER (ARTICLE)

Nov 28th - Adam does an interview with TO NIGHT, a South African newspaper.  He talks about being in a relationship and the song Broken English.

As for the tracks that come from his emotional vault, Lambert smiles: “I met my current boyfriend when I was on tour. During the writing process I got to write about being in love and a relationship. It had been a long time since I’d had one, so I was definitely in a new head space. A lot of great things had come from that. Trespassing sums me up pretty well. I think people like Cuckoo for the fun and crazi-ness. Broken English, for me, is a personal favourite.”

He once said Broken English was about "communication that can occur outside of spoken word.  Body language, eye contact - and how much beauty and magic there can be in that".  Plus he also said it was a sexy jam "to make love to".   It's easy to see why the song is one of his favorites.

  1. The "magic" is Telepathy - understanding what the other person means, via those different ways of communication, beyond language (so it's not about "reading someone's thoughts" as if they were written on a page, but about getting the meaning of what someone says or does). It's the same reason why Adam "always understood" what Freddie was communicating (other people don't really "always understand" - I love how innocent Adam can be sometimes!). The Tower of Babel represented this connection which people had, a higher vibe which ensured they'd "always understand" each other. Then that was lost, and suddenly people were faced with the different, incomprehensible languages. And yes, lovemaking (spiritual sex) has a lot to do with it. But again, I love how innocent Adam can be - he doesn't know that for a person without his high energies, the world looks very different.
